A playful and inspiring exploration of movement medicine. Through individual, duet, and group exercises, including stretches, shakti naam, activations and dance, participants will experience movement as energising, fun and meditative. Deepening our connection with self and others.
Morag Brownlie is a multimedia artist with a background in Contemporary Dance, Choreography, and Film. Her workshops formed while working for World of Wearable Art, preparing performers for the stage, and while devising dance-theatre shows.
A showing will happen at 12pm, of short films and a structured improvisation that workshop participants can choose to be part of, and invite friends and family to view.
Workshop fee is $20

Maggie de Thier-Hunt and Sophia Doz are two final-year students at the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art (NASDA). They are bringing their musical theatre training to Lyttelton Arts Festival this July.
Maggie de Thier-Hunt and Sophia Doz combine their skills in dance and choral music to lead an energetic two-hour workshop for ages 14 and up. They are joining forces to create a number that will include learning the choreography and music to a musical theatre classic. These two are a passionate pair that are excited to share what they love.
